Managed Service Summary

The core benefit of Managed Service is in optimization of overall IT via continuous TVO Improvement and TCO Reduction; however, there are many other key elements in it. I would like to introduce some of them in this issue.
 
1.      Dashboard that improves the visibility and MPR (Monthly Performance Review) meeting:
Gamutsoft has experience of Dashboard usage in a few customers in past, but those are trial and limited function versions. We are now developing a significantly improved 2nd version to differentiate our services.
Our Dashboard provides essential data for our Service Delivery managers to make immediate decisions for improving service quality. They do not need to spend time to analyze data with problem managers for finding root cause of problem area.
Our dashboard supplies sufficient data to understand the efficiency and waste in our engineers daily activities so that managers can take appropriate actions to improve the service productivity, i.e. to reduce our costs.
As a byproduct, our Dashboard generates necessary service performance reports that also reduce a lot of management time of our Client Service Managers.
This is a real “Mieruka (可視化)” of IT Services and more details will soon be introduced by Rick Ho, our CTO, as soon as our version 2 will become ready.
 
2.      Standardization through ITIL, Business Process, Security, and Escalation:
The readers of this booklet may know well this area. I would like to point out that how to handle local requirements in regional/global standardization demand from the HQ may be your dilemma if you are working in a multi-national company. Gamutsoft could give you suggestions from our experience.
 
1.      Vendor/Partner management:
Due to the recent trend of longer warranty period, this area may become less attractive; however, still there are many areas we can contribute to improve the service levels. By having your endorsement, Gamutsoft, on behalf of you, could better manage various product maintenance service contracts by using its nuts and bolts expertise in maintenance service including labor costs, geographical coverage, and logistics.
