It is February already. The spring brings on the green to the trees. But the economic dark clouds are still thick and cold. As the cost center in an enterprise, IT department feel much more struggles in this crisis. How’s IT department situation? What about the IT service vendor in this economic winter? IDC data shows the enterprises’ IT investment drop down from 6.9% in 2007 to 5.5% in 2008. Although, what CIO should do in economic winter is not simply reduce IT investment, but to invest wisely. That is to say, change the ways in investment. CIO and CTO need to catch every possible chances to help enterprise to reduce the cost, while providing the same qualified IT service. On this sight, there are opportunities for IT service industry.
